It all began in 2009 when my first son arrived earthside. I had dabbled in photography and people always told me I “really had an eye for photography”. I took thousands of terrible photos of my baby as he grew in his first year of life. After quite some time and just as many poorly-lit “artistic” images, it finally clicked! I researched all the photography terms and learned how to use a DSLR in manual mode before eventually purchasing my very first DSLR. Over the years, I have perfected my craft and taken lots of courses and workshops to keep learning. I am ALWAYS learning and I believe that shows with each session I take on. My first-born is now 14 years old and a total dork human who loves to create and use my Canva membership for school projects. He rarely poses for me, anymore, but I still try to capture his essence as frequently as I can.

I am based out of Trussville, AL and serve North Central Alabama. I am also available for travel to virtually anywhere to document your family.

This is a loaded question and the answer is a little tricky! Sometimes it snows in Alabama & it rains, here, too. As long as there isn’t a threat of severe weather, photoshoots will continue rain or shine! If your outdoor session is scheduled during rainy season, pack an umbrella. My goal is to capture the connection and love of your family and that can happen whether you have a close relationship to Mother Earth or if you cry when your hair gets wet. Obviously if the weather is totally awful, we will reschedule your session to another date to be safe.

While I no longer photograph weddings, I am happy to document your engagement! Please refer to my recommended vendor list for wedding photographers I highly recommend! Most wedding photographers also photograph engagement portraits, but I am happy to help in any way I can.
